Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory operations and ensure efficient stock management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, optimizing storage systems, and coordinating with other departments to maintain seamless operations while minimising costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory management systems and best practices.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while avoiding overstock or shortages.
- Conduct regular stock audits, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to align inventory with operational needs.
- Analyse inventory data to identify trends and improve forecasting accuracy.
- Manage warehouse operations, including organising storage space and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Prepare inventory reports and provide insights to senior management for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to inventory storage.
- Resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies, damages, or returns.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or consumer goods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory optimisation techniques and warehouse operations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
